The Food for the Soul ministry provides a meal for church members and nonmembers during the loss of a loved one. We call/email a member list asking them to bring a meat dish, a veggie, a salad, a dessert, or bread. The dish needs to be large enough to feed ten people. The dish is cooked by the member and kept warm at the church until time to serve at the funeral or memorial service. Don’t have time to cook? Store bought dishes are always welcome. Our ministry sets up the tables before the meal, serves the family during the meal, and cleans up afterwards. 

During the life of the ministry, we have never run out of food for a family. In some cases, we have even experienced “Loaves and Fishes” miracles—food seems to multiply, leaving enough for the family to take home. We have also seen family members get saved at funerals and memorial services.
