Quilting Ministry

Our Quilting Ministry was started in 2000 by Lois Deuter. She passed away in 2014.
Most of our quilts go to the local cancer center. New patients receive one at their first visit and bring it to all other appointments…chemo treatments make them cold.
Other quilts have gone to Vista Nueva High School, Grace Place, CYFD, Domestic Violence, Child Haven, Guardian Angel Nursing, disaster relief victims, State Dental Clinic, etc. Grace Place pregnancy center uses them as an incentive for expecting mothers who choose to keep their baby!
To date, the ministry has given away over 3,200 quilts – we keep records. Our congregation has received 143 of those for pastoring, weddings, births, grandbabies, surgeries, Fall Fest, etc.
We meet on most Thursday morning’s from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon. We have scrapbooks with many pictures and “thank you’s”.
