Thank you church family,
The 2020 Operation Christmas Child season was such a blessing.
First Baptist Church packed over 120 full shoebox blessings this year! Our annual packing party was a success in our new version of a packing party! We prayed over the boxes and children several times after the party until they left the church. Each box will reach a child with the Gospel included in the shoebox. These amazing Gospel opportunities are not only reaching the child – they are planting a seed in the villages and communities of these children. They are planting a seed in the families and friends of the child. Our boxes are being sent to Mexico, Native Americans, Pacific Islands and South Africa!
The Aztec drop off location brought in over 500 shoeboxes this year and I got to personally deliver each box to Durango and pray over the boxes several times before they were sent to the processing center in Denver. The Four Corners Area sent over 6,000 shoeboxes this year. Praise the Lord for His goodness and His faithfulness.
Thank you for your shoebox donations, your shipping donations, for your prayers and for the volunteers at our packing party and local drop off here at First Baptist Church. We got to meet several community members (some without a church home) dropping off boxes and pray with them over the boxes and for their personal requests.
Each year I am reminded how important this ministry is. We are serving children and families all over the world but also ministering to our local community members. Being a full time/year round Operation Christmas Child volunteer I see the many blessings of this ministry year round.
Thank you Church for always being a blessing to this ministry. If you would like to volunteer and help with this ministry please let me know.
Please continue praying for the shoeboxes and for each child receiving a box.
