Have you ever felt lost, in the dark, like you don’t know what to do? And it’s as if you cannot seem to hear from the Lord? The good news is that no matter how you feel, God is there with you; the difficult news could be that you’re in the way and jamming your own line of communication with God.
Some things to consider…Have you hardened your heart in a particular area?: “Today, if you will hear His voice: ‘Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion…’” Psalm 95:7b,8a Quiet yourself before the Lord, ask Him to reveal any hardening or rebelliousness, and then ask for His forgiveness and turn away from it.
Or…Have you asked God for help but not with your whole heart–you are still trying to reason out your own solution? Here is his promise: “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord…” Jeremiah 29:13, 14a
Or…Has He already given you an answer, but you did not like what you heard; for example…“wait”?: “It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:26
Remember, whatever the circumstance, God is there with you. If you are stuck, take time to read His word, talk to Him, listen for Him. Get quiet; be still before Him; praise Him and humble yourself; cast “…all your care upon Him for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 allow Him to soften your heart today.
