The Pastor Search Team was approved by the church on January 7, 2024. Since that time, the committee has been meeting and working through the process and procedures recommended by the BCNM. With the help of the Holy Spirit, the desire of the committee is to find the next Senior Pastor that will meet the current needs and desires of our church. We believe that God has already chosen that person and we are simply discerning His will.

I am very excited and feel privileged to apply for the Senior Pastor role that you have posted. As someone who was been in Ministry for 20 years, I know it is important to be obedient to Christ. I fully believe that I am being called into full time ministry as a senior pastor. As a long time Baptist, father of 13, and proven leader in the business world, along with the Biblical knowledge and wisdom that God has given me, I believe God has truly provided me with the tools necessary to lead the next chapter of Kingdom Growth for First Baptist Aztec. Holding tight to our core beliefs and the Baptist faith and message. I have a true burden and heart for the people of Gateway.

In the business world I have led a team of over 400 people with a PL of over $8,000,000 and successfully retained the account through several bid processes. At the same time, I have faithfully served Gateway Fellowship Church as the Minister to Students. During this time, we have seen growth in numbers and in spiritual maturity within the group. I have also been able to support and serve in other areas of the Church. I have discipled not only the students, but the youth leaders that have worked with me.

While I am not the most charismatic person, God has given me the ability to tell His story. Unlike many today who have the personality to carry them thru, I am forced to rely on the Holy Spirit and the truth of God’s word, to share the message. Faithfulness to the authority of Scripture is of upmost importance. The Truth of God’s Word is what is essential. There is so much more to this role than Sunday Morning and preaching. A fully rounded Pastor must fully embrace all aspect of the position and I am ready to do that. I believe that while we must do things to reach those around us, we cannot forget those we already have. We must remember to minister to those we have not just to those we wish to have. When we faithfully and exponentially preach the Word of God, we will reach both.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I am fully prepared and equipped for this challenge. I am excited to see what God has in store.

Because He Lives
